COMET
The painting belongs to the “totemic” series of works, where “crystallism” as an artistic method gives way to the crystal as a central character - a totem endowed with its own energy and mythical content.
This series which currently includes three paintings - my creative appeal to Russian cosmism, pagan roots and the symbol in the personal universes that we create from birth; a symbol of connection of the earth and the sky, the eternal striving of one to reflect and comprehend the other.
"COMET" - an incomprehensible wanderer from unreachable worlds, cold steel dissecting the thickness of ancient space, carries the heat of life, enclosed in a mythological crystal. It, the mother of all things, waits only for the collision with the still empty ocean waters: it waits for the mega that gives birth to the first form of life. The artist considers the "COMET" as a totem, a cult of the heavenly divine body; a vessel filled with the great energy of life and destruction, order and chaos.
