THE SUN is a part of the paired artwork. This artwork opens the world of the giant gods, who gave us a life. And, possibly, they will also open a new path after physical death… We’ll find out.
Within the SUN itself, we see a neon spatial grid, a very popular visual symbol for retrowave. It returns to us the feeling of going beyond the limits of reality, a feeling that we vividly experienced in childhood.
The eye of the Sun in the barely discernible face of the luminary, and the brightest point, like a star, crowning the pyramid are the same - important symbol of this painting. All space tends to this point. It looks like a heavenly bridge leading us to the beyond.
The physical original was made in a very complex painstaking technique - oil painting and graphic pointillism, used for the fragment that you see now as a flowing steel cloud-ribbons.
What does it mean, a graphic pointillism? A permanent marker leaves millions of dots on a metal acrylic backing).
The graphic fragment changes color and contrast depending on the lighting and the angle of view.
The painting took a month.
